I am grateful for the opportunity to add to the many testimonies of healing appearing in the Christian Science periodicals the following healing, which took place about four years ago.

While clad in a bathing suit and running on concrete pavement at the beach, I fell heavily on my side and knee. The following day it was with great difficulty that I walked and attended to my daily activities. After dinner that evening, I dragged myself to the radio to hear a lecture on Christian Science, which was to be delivered by a member of the Board of Lectureship of The Mother Church.

The opening words arrested my attention. Quoting the Scriptures, the lecturer said, "In my Father's house are many mansions." Then came the realization that we live, move, and have our being in the consciousness of divine Love. Later, the lecturer related the story of the impotent man sitting at the pool of Bethesda. When the lecturer repeated the words of Jesus, "Rise, take up thy bed, and walk," something seemed to go through and down my leg. I looked, thinking it was the discharge from the wound, but there was nothing to be seen. Shortly thereafter, during the progress of the lecture, I realized that I was moving my feet and crossing one leg over the other, which had been seemingly impossible or extremely painful during the twenty-four hours past. When I stood up at the conclusion of the lecture, I was free from difficulty and pain. The healing Christ which was present at the pool of Bethesda was again manifested that evening.
