This testimony is given to express,...
This testimony is given to express, in a small degree, my gratitude for the healing and comfort I have received from the study and application of Christian Science over a period of twenty-two years. I was healed of tuberculosis about seventeen years ago, after the doctors had said I could never be well on account of my temperament. I have had many other healings, including those of a very severe burn, influenza, colds, and what seemed to be pneumonia, although as a general thing Christian Science keeps me in excellent health. For all these healings I am deeply grateful, and I am grateful for the help which practitioners have always so lovingly given me.
I have received much help regarding employment and activity through the study of Christian Science. During a period of seeming inactivity, my supply and plans were adjusted more harmoniously than I could have arranged them myself, and each need was more than met. Mrs. Eddy writes on page 307 of "Miscellaneous Writings," "Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment." Christian Science has shown me that if I am doing my metaphysical work faithfully. I am doing my part, and God's part is already done. Students of Christian Science have the assurance that in truth they can never be out of work. Although some come at the third hour, some at the sixth, ninth, or eleventh hour (Matthew 20), there is work for all, and they receive the same wage, namely, the manifestation of useful and remunerative activity.
For all the good which Christian Science reveals to mankind today, my gratitude goes out to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. She stood alone with God, and He did not fail her. For her firmness and loyalty to the revelation which came to her, I am most grateful.— (Mrs.) Isabelle Greene Eason, Los Angeles, California.
