Loosed by Love

Christian Science reveals to humanity the healing might of divine Love. Through its powerful ministry "the captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail." Destruction and want are irreconcilable with the beneficent and affluent purpose of Deity, and for God's image there is no expatriation, no exile.

Divine Love stands for liberation from all that is contrary to Love and contrary to spirituality. To the materialist, spirituality may seem out of reach, even little to be desired. But Love is Spirit, and it is only through spirituality and loving-kindness that the friction of daily life can be genuinely lessened, health established, and limitation removed.

The mist of materiality works havoc among men and nations in regard to their health, their prosperity, and peaceable relations; but irritability, greed, disease, fear, poverty, can be eradicated by spiritual understanding and spiritual love. Whoever would enjoy life, health, intelligence, and unfold in Godlikeness, must definitely resolve to reflect divine Love and to cease expressing anything opposed to it.
