Lecturer: Dr. John M. Tutt; introduced by Miss Sarah Grace Chase, who said: —

The invitation which Jesus extended to all in the early days of his ministry is extended to you: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me." Christian Science teaches us how we may learn of Jesus, and profit by his words and words. A few years ago I was very much opposed to Christian Science, but this opposition was founded on ignorance. While reading aloud from some Christian Science literature to a friend, I learned the simple truth that God is Love. After pondering these words in my heart, I was healed of the opposition, and also of a severe physical disorder. Thus Christian Science replaces ignorance of God with understanding, brings rest to the weary and heavyladen, health to the sick, and an abundance of good to those who lack. It is this simple, ever available teaching of Christian Science which the lecturer will tell you of this afternoon.
