I am writing this testimony in sincere gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science and for the blessings it has brought to me. It was first brought to my notice about eleven years ago through the healing of my mother of a complication of diseases which had made her almost an invalid for twenty-four years. The doctors had given her just another year to live. I was deeply impressed by her look of peace and happiness; for before, there had always been lines of pain and distress.
I accepted the teachings of Christian Science at once, and in a few weeks passed through the experience of childbirth quite painlessly. I was up in three days doing my own work, whereas at previous similar experiences I had never regained my strength under three months. Christian Science has healed our family of six of every disease that has attacked us since then. Typhoid fever, nail wounds, mumps, measles, pink eye, malarial fever, whooping cough, and four cases of broken bones are only a few of the discords that have been overcome, some instantaneously and others not so quickly. The truth has met our every need when earnestly applied.
I am grateful that my children can enjoy the privilege of growing up in a Christian Science Sunday School, and grateful for my own opportunity to teach and learn with them. I am also grateful for the Christian Science periodicals, especially the Sentinel.
