[Original testimony in German]
Of the many blessings I have received since I became...
Of the many blessings I have received since I became a student of Christian Science I will mention just a few.
Two years ago I had some teeth extracted, and the dentist made some injections. A few days later I was attacked by severe pain; and as I was obliged to go to the dentist again because of another tooth, he saw the changed condition of the wound, and advised me if this condition held on to come again immediately. To material evidence the condition became very bad. Although I constantly denied the error, it would not be silenced. My jawbone became stiff, and at last I could open my mouth only wide enough to insert the point of a knife, and for days I lived on small quantities of milk. Knowing something of Christian Science and having had wonderful demonstrations, I thought I could overcome this condition alone, but at last I went to Berlin and called on the practitioner who had repeatedly helped me on the way from sense to Soul. He gave me a treatment, and said, "What Christ Jesus said is certainly true!" Going into the town to do some shopping I carried these words before me like a shield. On reaching the station in the evening I was very hungry. I sat down at a table, took a roll and bit into it, and discovered that I was completely healed. I was free from all pain, and could open my mouth and masticate as usual. My gratitude was so great that words alone cannot describe it.
One winter I suffered severely from asthma, especially at night. I knew that in reality there is no sickness, but the tempter, fear, oppressed me severely. I struggled for a few nights, sat up, and very often lost consciousness. Then I turned again to the faithful practitioner for help. I went to bed in the evening and, as peacefully as though God's angels were around me, slept soundly until the morning; and I have remained healed since that hour.
