When I first learned something about Christian Science and found that the promises contained in the Bible were not transcendental and only for a past age, but were practical and possible of fulfillment in my own experience, a new life began for me. Soon afterward I was healed of a skin disease, which I had in a very acute form.

After the war the medical officers before whom I appeared, pronounced me to be in a very bad state of health. They said that one of my lungs was permanently dried up, due to gas (they called it fibrosis of the lung), and that my heart was seriously displaced. They also stated that were I not to undergo a strict course of medical treatment, I should not live more than a few months. To-day, by the aid of Christian Science treatment alone, I am stronger, fitter, and more active mentally and physically than I have ever been. I can play a hard game of tennis, walk up four or five flights of stairs, and be out in all kinds of weather.

I have also been healed by pyorrhea. This result was attained by purifying my thinking. I have been healed also of chronic bronchial colds which were most painful, and of other ills.
