The Lectures
Introductions to Lectures
Bielefeld, Germany (First Church).
Lecturer: Prof. Hermann S. Hering; introduced by Heino Weihe, who said:—
Christian Science came into my life about fifteen years ago through the experiences of some of my dear ones, who, according to medical opinion, were suffering from a chronic complaint and had been forced to give up work altogether. Through help in Christian Science they were able to take up their work again in a comparatively short time. In spite of these proofts I at that time lacked the necessary seriousness to pay any attention to Christian Science. I did not feel the slightest inclination to give up my self-made gods, until one day, owing to sickness, I broke down completely.
