Mr. Charles E. Heitman, C. S. B., the new Manager of The Christian Science Publishing Society, formerly resided in New York city. As a young man he prepared for the practice of law but discontinued his study to enter the Spanish-American War, in which he served as a member of the First Volunteer Cavalry, better known as Roosevelt's Rough Riders. Thereafter he engaged in business, becoming a member of the Real Estate Board in the city of New York. In 1913 Mr. Heitman was elected a trustee of Second Church of Christ, Scientist, New York city, to serve three years, during two of which he acted as chairman. He was president of the church in 1916, and later served the full term of three years as First Reader. Mr. Heitman served as Committee on Publication for the state of New York until he was called to Boston to become Associate Editor of The Christian Science Monitor in June, 1926. For many years Mr. Heitman has been an active practitioner of Christian Science, and in 1922 he became a teacher, having been a member of the Normal Class of the Board of Education in that year.

The Manager of The Christian Science Benevolent Association, Mr. Elisha B. Seeley, C.S.B., who has supervised the work of that institution for the past seven years, has tendered his resignation from that position and has been elected a Trustee of the Trust known as Christian Science Trustees for Gifts and Endowments. Mr. Seeley's letter follows:—
