I wish to tell of the good received in more than five years'...
I wish to tell of the good received in more than five years' study of Christian Science, so that it may help others, as I have been helped by reading the testimonies in the Journal and Sentinel. Always a very weak child, I grew up in constant misery. I had a weak stomach, weak kidneys, weak eyes, and was subject to chronic headaches, fits of crying, and extreme periods of nervousness, which made me irritable and sensitive. I was mentally depressed most of the time. Reading the Bible and regular attendance at different Sunday schools and churches brought me some joy, but always there seemed to be something lacking. I really wanted to know God.
A very near and dear relative suggested I attend the Christian Science services with her; and out of curiosity I did so, much to my later happiness. After going regularly for some months, I was lovingly invited by young friends to enroll in the Sunday school, which thereafter meant constant joy to me. Over three years in the Sunday school and constant attendance at a Christian Science church helped me in seeing the nothingness of the above-mentioned errors, and in working out my high school problems.
My husband and I have had and are having daily proofs of God's protecting love. We rejoice in the truth that makes us free. I am gradually overcoming old beliefs of lack, quick temper, criticism, and insomnia.
