As reported in your recent issue, a clergyman compared Christian Scientists with those adrift in the "seas of unholy untruth," and grouped our religion with theosophy, spiritualism, Bahaism, and agnosticism. Kindly permit me to inform your readers that Christian Science is quite unlike the aforementioned systems. Christian Science does not include human philosophy, in premise or conclusion. Christian Science is defined by its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, "as the law of God, the law of good, interpreting and demonstrating the divine Principle and rule of universal harmony" (Rudimental Divine Science, p. 1).

Christian Scientists are willing that their religion be known by its fruits of healing and salvation. The ministry of Christ Jesus was founded on the same platform of practical works. For our critic to deny the truth of Christian Science is for him to deny the proof of Christian healing, proof on every hand for those who have eyes to see. Jesus said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" —free from sin, sorrow, suffering. The fact that Christian Science has freed and is daily liberating people who are in bondage to sin, disease, fear, and limitation, evidence the truth of its divine theology.
