Sixteen years ago I was healed through Christian Science of cracking eczema. This was my first healing, and since that time my blessings have been many. Fear of ridicule hindered my progress for a number of years; but when I took my stand for Christian Science, this was overcome. This fear was so great that I suffered whenever I was with any one not interested in Science, and it seemed as if I would lose my reason. Thanks to God and those loving practitioners, who worked so faithfully for me, I was healed, and so encouraged to keep up my study that the spiritual understanding of the Bible and our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, has come to me. To say I am grateful for this healing is to speak very mildly. I have had other healings since that time, including that of catarrh of the head from which I had suffered since girlhood, also hemorrhages so severe that I was fearful even with help in Science. These were met within a few hours. The thought of God's presence and power to dry up the Red Sea in Old Testament times, and the knowledge that He is just as much with us now as then, sustained me. I am also grateful for the healing of my husband and our children.

At one time my husband had been using a welding torch without colored glasses, and this seemed to result in severe inflammation of the eyes. Reading aloud about an hour from Science and Health helped him to such an extent that he fell asleep and awoke much relieved; and healing followed without any treatment. This showed us that we can receive help by simply studying the truth, as given in our textbook. He has also been healed of severe colds through Christian Science treatment. I am very grateful for the overcoming of opposition and for a greater sense of peace and harmony.

Blood poisoning, colds, inflammation of the bowels, a condition which resulted in paralysis of the legs and a breaking out, have been overcome; also, dislocated joints have been set with Christian Science treatment alone. A broken wrist was healed in about ten days. One of our children was healed of being a diphtheria carrier, and the other three were protected from the disease during his quarantine; also, one was healed of an abscess and of a very sensitive disposition.
