It is a joyous privilege to express my gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me and mine through the study and application of Christian Science. I have been healed of nervous trouble, bowel and stomach disorder, catarrh, and other ills too numerous to mention; have experienced painless childbirth upon four occasions; and have had many proofs of protection from accidents and contagion. With the loving help of a practitioner I have many times been sustained and healed by divine Love when difficulties would have kept me from being in my place and doing my work as a church soloist.

For all these blessings I am deeply grateful, but for the spiritual understanding gained through trials I am even more grateful. I am learning in a measure the meaning of what our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 57): "Happiness is spiritual, born of Truth and Love." I am also grateful to have learned that discouragement and despondency are only the result of a lack of gratitude and can be healed by counting one's blessings. I wish to express gratitude for the privilege of class instruction, and for membership in The Mother Church and in one of our branch churches.
