Christian Science came into my life over nine years ago

Christian Science came into my life over nine years ago. One of the first healings I had was that of discord, and it resulted from the understanding that "Love is reflected in love," as Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 17). Another healing, which took place soon after I took up the study of Christian Science, was of the fear of age and frailty. This came during a church service. During war conditions, when men were scarce and work plentiful, the problem of output was completely and permanently solved through the understanding which Christian Science gives of God as divine intelligence (see Science and Health, p. 587). This definition of God has been, and continues daily to be, an unfailing remedy when perplexity would overwhelm. Whatever the problem may be, the fact that God is omnipotent intelligence brings mental peace and sure demonstration. The healing of fear and of the sense of separation, while a brother was serving in France with the Canadian troops during the Great War, came swiftly to consciousness during the singing of one of the hymns in the Christian Science Hymnal. A similar healing took place during a church service.

Two years ago, one morning while at business, I was suddenly taken ill with hemorrhage and was removed to a hospital. Christian Science treatment was asked for right away, and was lovingly and faithfully given. In about ten days the doctor in the hospital expressed astonishment that neither weakness nor pain had been experienced from the time I came there. Warning was given that ninety-nine out of a hundred were never the same after such an illness, and that I must be most careful. When I was put under X-rays, no trace of where the hemorrhage had been was to be seen; and again doctor and nurse questioned the nature of the illness as no trace was to be found, the healing being so complete.

Christian Science is to me health, happiness, and joyful activity; and it has given me courage and such an outlook on life that, in the words of a poem that once appeared in a Christian Science Sentinel (the author of which I am unable to name), I can in a measure say:
