I have never known any other religion than Christian Science, never had help from any other source. My parents began the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy the year before I was born. We have proved, without a doubt, that it is the truth and can meet every need. Even the strongest medical beliefs are overcome if the law of God is rightly applied. I had this demonstrated at the birth of my little girl, over two years ago.

My husband was very much opposed to Science, but this did not frighten me. I knew that God is all-powerful. Other conditions made it seem rather difficult; but Mrs. Eddy writes on page 306 of Science and Health, "Undisturbed amid the jarring testimony of the material senses, Science, still enthroned, is unfolding to mortals the immutable, harmonious, divine Principle,—is unfolding Life and the universe, ever present and eternal." I never felt better than the day my baby was born. In compliance with the medical laws of the state we called a physician, who came to the house at eight o'clock, but did not stay as he seemed to think it would be many hours before the birth. I felt pain to some extent, but just kept the thought of God and Love before me. Thirty minutes before the baby was born I took a short nap, sleeping peacefully.

My baby has had but two days of slight illness, which was overcome very quickly through the understanding of the ever-presence of Truth. I did not know even when one of her teeth came through. We are both perfectly well; and every day I am happier, because every day I am gaining a little more in the spiritual life.—(Mrs.) Dorothy Bainbridge Pann, Nashville, Tennessee.
