"Man's extremity is God's opportunity." I had occasion to learn this when I found the way to Christian Science about three years ago; and I thank God with all my heart that He pointed out this way to me. I was ill with poisoning, accompanied by inflammation of the kidneys and an enlargement of the liver. A physician, under whose care I had been for several months, could bring about no improvement. The disease became so much worse that, according to the doctor's opinion, there remained no hope of my recovery.

In the meantime my mother came to visit me. When she saw my condition, she advised me to engage a Christian Science practitioner. This advice was immediately followed, and a dear practitioner gave me help at once. After a few treatments my condition improved so that I could again eat and drink. Through diligent study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and through the power of divine Love, I made good progress, so that in a short time I was completely healed of my illness and could get out of bed. The physician and all those who had seen me during my illness were astonished at the rapid change in me.

For this proof that God is the best physician and is at our side in every need, I am most deeply grateful to God, to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and to the practitioner.
