What Christian Science has been to me during the past twenty-five years I find hard to express in words. The gratitude, love, and joy that well up in my heart when the realization comes of the peace, happiness, cheer, satisfaction, and contentment that have come into my life because of the greater, truer knowledge of God and the Science of being gained by my study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, are indeed difficult to convey, Countless times has divine Principle, or Truth, as revealed in our textbook, been put to the test and not been found wanting. Having made use of it in the many disturbing circumstances of our daily living, I have learned that no problem is too small or too large for the application of its healing power.

I did not turn to Christian Science at first for physical healing, but in these past years I have had many proofs of its power to cure disease. To human sense the most serious experience was an attack of inflammatory rheumatism which occurred twenty years ago. The attack lasted about a week; but with the help of a Christian Science practitioner the trouble was so completely healed that there has never been the slightest return of it.

I have found my knowledge of Christian Science most helpful in driving an automobile. The hurry and greed which seem at times to govern mankind, and the confusion and impatience which seem to reign in the crowded city streets of to-day, have been almost instantly overcome for me by realizing that man as God's idea is in his right place and has his right of way; that divine intelligence is the only guide; and that the law of God is operative now in spite of any claim to the contrary. The quiet action of unselfed love in obedience to Principle not only disentangles material machines, but dissolves self-will and selfishness, proving what Mrs. Eddy tells us in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" (p. 232), "The right way wins the right of way."
