Over nine years ago I received a physical healing in Christian Science. It was proved that surgery is no more necessary than medicine in the treatment of disease, as through the help of practitioners I was saved from the ordeal of a serious surgical operation for fibroid tumor.

While I am very grateful for this healing, words cannot express my gratitude for the spiritual understanding of the Bible gained since I took up the study of Christian Science. What more can man want than freedom and dominion? And these he certainly will find as he applies the divine Principle of Christian Science to all his problems, and allows himself to be "subordinate alone to his Maker," as Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 518), not to any mortal material beliefs.

I am finding it possible to rejoice in the face of any condition, however dark and discouraging it may seem; for I have proved in so many instances the omnipotence and omnipresence of divine Principle, that I know from experience it can solve each and every erroneous or discordant condition, of whatever nature. One thing only is needful—spiritual understanding.
