On June 28, 1922, I suddenly became very ill and could not move. I had very high fever and was unconscious. A physician was therefore called, who diagnosed the case as one of severe brain fever. As my wife had been healed of an affection of the head of years' standing through Christian Science, I sent to a practitioner to ask for treatment, which was immediately and lovingly given. Within three hours the messenger returned with the happy message that all would soon be well. I noticed an improvement in a short time, for during the course of the afternoon I was completely freed from the fever. On the following day the physician came and was greatly astonished to find me without fever. He feared a relapse, but this did not take place; for I was healed, not through the skill of the physician, but through Christian Science. Although the physician had assured me that, on account of this sickness, I would not be able to fill my position for three months, I recovered from this severe illness in five weeks, again attending to my duties, and was in better health than before.

I am deeply grateful to God, to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and also to the dear practitioner for this and many other blessings.—Ernst Willner, Ober Weistritz, Kr. Schweidnitz, Germany.

About twelve years ago I suffered from severe headaches, and although I had been treated by about ten physicians, my trouble became more and more severe. One of the physicians advised me to go to a sanatorium for nervous troubles. I turned instead to a nature-cure healer,—but in vain. In March, 1922, while my husband and I were visiting my sister, I was troubled to such an extent with the headaches that we could not think of returning home. I had only one desire, namely, to die.
