I am very grateful for all that Christian Science has done for me. I should like to mention one experience that I had a few months ago, which proved to me that God is indeed the only power. I awoke one morning to find that one side of my face was rather swollen and painful. I tried to apply the truth as I had been taught in our Christian Science Sunday School. During that day I met a friend who, seeing my condition, informed me that I had the mumps. She promptly declared the truth and continued working for me. The next morning my parents, who are non-Scientists, immediately sent for the doctor, who said that I should have to be kept isolated for three weeks. However, through the loving work of my friend, in less than one week I was up and continuing my daily routine. The doctor, however, was called in again; and to the great surprise of my parents, he declared me to be absolutely free from contagion. I am very grateful for this wonderful healing, which has shown me so clearly the power of God's spiritual law over the so-called laws of mortal mind.

I am also very grateful for the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School, of which I have been a member for nearly two years. There I am learning to love God and to see man in His likeness. I also owe deep gratitude to my dear Sunday school teacher, practitioner, and friend, who have all so lovingly helped me.
