When a lad of ten years, I had suffered for over three years from tuberculosis. The greater part of this time was spent flat on my back in bed. I was removed to some hot springs near Pasadena, California. A very serious spell came over me while in an apartment in Pasadena, and the doctor said to my mother, "The boy is taking his last breath." A lady living next door, who had been in to see me several times, when she heard the doctor say these words, said, "It's a lie." She immediately explained herself, and asked my mother to try Christian Science for me. After some questioning, a Christian Science practitioner was called. That day I became better; and in seven treatments I was entirely healed.

This demonstration was again brought before me very recently when I took a physical examination for insurance. When asked if I had tuberculosis, I said, "I had it many years ago, but am entirely well." The doctor could find nothing of that nature by his examination, so he took two X-ray pictures; but he could not find any trace of the disease. He said to me, "You certainly had some healing." I replied that I was grateful that I had.
