On
the occasion of the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, which convened at two o'clock on Monday, June 4, an audience, assembled from many lands, filling the edifice of The Mother Church, united in giving thanks to God for innumerable blessings received through the healing ministry of the Christ as revealed by the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy.
It
has become very generally recognized that salvation is won by works rather than by words.
No
one can study Christian Science without becoming aware of the radical nature of its teachings.

With deep and heartfelt gratitude to God for all the blessings I have received through Christian Science I offer my testimony, earnestly hoping that my experience may help others to place "radical reliance on Truth".
When a lad of ten years, I had suffered for over three years from tuberculosis.
I have been a student of Christian Science for about twenty years, during which time I have had numerous healings of various kinds.
Six years ago Christian Science was brought to me; and while I was not at the time in need of physical healing, I was in a state of darkness, discouragement, and hopelessness, amounting to despair.
