Meekness
Blest
are the meek, our lowly Master said,
And meekly taught the truth in Galilee;
He healed the sick and sinning, raised the dead,
And fed the multitudes, and trod the sea.
This meekness all his students need to-day,
If they his mighty works would emulate;
For he has taught this is the only way
That they such life and love may demonstrate.
Grant, then, that we with true humility
May know, as Jesus did, that all our power
Is from above; and we with him shall see
Ourselves equipped divinely every hour.
