I desire to add my testimony to many others as to what Christian Science has done. For many years I had been a sufferer from various ailments, among which were intestinal catarrh, as well as catarrh of the head and throat, neuritis, dimness of sight, threatened blindness, and stone in the bladder. My suffering from the last-named disease was so intense it just seemed to me my reason would give way under the strain; and existence was a torment, day and night.

About three years ago I came to San Francisco to make my home, and arrived just a frail shadow of my former self. After I had been under constant Christian Science treatment for about a year and a half, my health was improved in many ways, and I was very slowly gaining an understanding of Truth. Still, the agonizing pain in the abdomen remained. Finally, it was decided that a diagnosis by a physician should be obtained. This was done. The physician said the suffering was caused by stone in the bladder. The physician also pronounced the case serious, and remarked that if Christian Science could heal that condition it could do anything. God never fails us when we trust Him; and after a few months, one morning I was free. This was in September, 1920; and from that time there has been a very marked improvement in my condition. I have gained in weight, and have a fine color, and really feel rejuvenated.

I am grateful to the practitioner who helped me, for there was never a time, day or night, that I did not feel free to call upon her. She worked untiringly in my behalf; and I feel I would not be here to-day were it not for her treatment, so understandingly and lovingly given. I was seventy-five years of age when I became interested in Christian Science. I am indeed grateful that I was led to give it a trial; and words cannot express my gratitude and love for Mary Baker Eddy, and also for the many friends who encouraged me to be faithful and study. I would say to all who suffer, Just be faithful and the reward will come.
