I was healed through Christian Science of a goiter and of heart trouble of many years' standing. I had been treated by many doctors, and the last specialist I consulted told me I would not live six weeks unless I had an operation performed. He also told me I would have to stay in bed for a week before going to the hospital. I went to bed on a Friday and on the following Tuesday when alone I began feeling so much worse that I became frightened. I reached over to pick up the Bible which was lying on a table near my bed and as I did so it seemed as though a still, small voice said: "Why don't you take up Christian Science instead of going to the hospital?" I said to myself, "I will." I got up and dressed but was so weak that I could hardly stand, but so happy in the thought that maybe there was something else for me besides the hospital. When my husband came home he was astounded to see me up and dressed. I told him I wanted to try Christian Science and I hoped he would not object. The first thing he said was that I would die if I attempted to leave the house. While going to a practitioner I asked God over and over again to give me strength to make the trip. I received the first Christian Science treatment on Tuesday evening, and I cannot describe the wonderful peace that came to me. I felt truly uplifted. I had absent treatment on Wednesday and Thursday and I again went to see the practitioner on Friday evening. On Saturday evening I put my hand to my throat and found that the goiter was about half gone, and in a week's treatment I was entirely healed.

I know that that was the happiest moment of my life. I was also healed of insomnia, night sweats, constipation, and nervousness. Words cannot express my loving gratitude for an understanding of this glorious truth.
