I would be ungrateful indeed were I not to express my thanks for what Christian Science has done for me, for many times I have felt the healing power of Truth. It has blessed me in physical healings and in moral and spiritual regeneration. In beginning the study of Christian Science, it was just a natural turning to God for relief from a state of unrest, worry, and fear; and how naturally and beautifully God grants that relief many students of Christian Science know as they emerge from the bondage of material law into the freedom of the government of spiritual law, into purity, health, and life. Christian Science is teaching me true values, and has given me a real purpose in life. I am learning what constitutes moral courage and obedience,—the obedience born of love, not of selfishness or fear. And I know that through my fidelity to its teachings I am able not only to help myself but others as well.

I am grateful to the Christian Scientists who have encouraged me; to the practitioner who has so lovingly helped me, and patiently pointed out the way; to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who so wisely provided for all of our needs through her written works and the establishment of the Christian Science periodicals. Grateful indeed am I for a steadily increasing knowledge of an ever present God and of my relationship to Him.
