Previous to reading the textbook of Christian Science,...

Previous to reading the textbook of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I had been an active member of a denominational church, and also a student of mental science, so-called, but the deep questions of life were not answered for me. I had read but a few pages in Science and Health when I found a glimmer of light in the realization of the allness of God as a basis of reasoning, which gave me a solid foundation to rest upon. Since then it has been my privilege to prove the truth as taught in Christian Science in many cases of physical healing, in guidance in business matters, and in the demonstration that man's real supply is spiritual consciousness, and therefore is constant and abundant.

A realization for which I am daily grateful is that because man is the idea of God he now and forever reflects the joyous activity of divine Mind, and that nothing can deprive individual man of his rightful work and harmonious usefulness. I am also very grateful for some understanding of Mrs. Eddy's purpose in founding the Christian Science periodicals, and for the great privilege of participation in the free distribution work as carried on by branch churches.

Christian Science has brought to me hope, comfort, joy, peace, and promise, and an understanding of the allness of good which is strength and reliance to me under all circumstances. I desire to be found watching and working for an increasing realization of Truth, Love, and Life, that I may be obedient to the admonition of Peter: "Be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear."—(Miss) Ruth J. Morse, South Hingham, Massachusetts.
