It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I ponder over the innumerable blessings which have come to me and my family since taking up the study of Christian Science. My first healing was practically a complete transformation from invalidism to a normal condition, after having previously traveled the route of materia medica, operations, etc. Chronic bowel disorder, which resulted from a severe form of peritonitis, rheumatic conditions, chronic headaches, and other ailments, had been experienced with great suffering. Being a professional singer and teacher of music, I finally became disheartened when chronic asthma and hay-fever became manifest, so that I had to give up singing. Only those who have had such an experience can possible realize the anguish produced by the loss of one's voice.

As a last resort, after being told by physicians that I could not live a year, I turned to Christian Science for help. I first began to read the text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," in the search for help for a loved one who had long been an invalid. I was wearing glasses all the time, but before I had read many pages in Science and Health I laid them aside, and have not used them for nine years. Later I had treatment for the other conditions, which were soon overcome, and for some years I have been blessed with most excellent health. The voice was restored also, and is better than before. One of my sons was completely cured of granulated eyelids of a most trying nature in only four treatments. Later he was instantaneously healed of a serious condition of the lungs, threatening acute lung trouble.

The healings have all been permanent, and in addition to those mentioned I have experienced untold blessings in many ways. I have rejoiced at a wonderful healing which took place in March, 1914, in our local Christian Science church. During the reading of the Lesson-Sermon a sense of growing deafness, which had been manifesting itself for several years and which had caused much pain and suffering as well as great inconvenience at times, as the hearing seemed to mortal sense to have been greatly impaired, was instantaneously healed, the hearing being completely and perfectly restored.
