I would like to express my gratitude for Christian Science
I would like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. It has always been my desire to work for God, and I have tried to do what was right. When I heard of Christian Science, I had been wandering about from one religion to another, always feeling dissatisfied, and when told I could prove that Christian Science is the truth, I immediately wanted to try. During the years devoted to the study of this religion, I have become stronger and stronger all the time. I was healed of bronchitis, from which I suffered every winter, in three days; of neuralgia, of the effects of a bicycle accident, and of many other discordant conditions, in much shorter time than I would have thought possible before hearing of Christian Science. What I am most grateful for, however, is the better understanding I am gaining of God and man. It is enabling me not only to help myself, but also to help others.
I am in the English civil service, where a strict record of all sick leave is kept, chiefly for pension reasons. Before I heard of Christian Science, I had to be away from business each winter for three weeks or a month at a time; but for about six years I have not had to be away at all on account of sickness, and Christian Science has been my only remedy. I can also say that I am a better, more intelligent, and more honest worker than I ever was before or ever hoped to be. My chief desire is to gain more and more understanding, so that some day I may be able to devote all my time to the work I love so well. I am doing my best to live the truth as far as I understand it.
