"Freely ye have received, freely give." I wish to tell of the healing of my husband. A growth appeared in his throat, which was in such a condition that it was impossible for him to eat solid food, and even the taking of liquids was accompanied by great pain. After five days' treatment in Christian Science, however, the growth entirely disappeared without pain, and during the period of treatment he was able to take nourishment, in spite of his fear and the fear of others (non-Scientists), which had to be destroyed. My husband had been subject to such growths on previous occasions, and under materia medica from four to six weeks had been re quired to relieve him, while he suffered greatly and was unable to take nourishment.

Christian Science has been the only physician in our home during the past five years. When an ailment troubles our little son, we always rejoice that instead of asking for medicine he asks for Science and Health, and if we are unable to effect a healing ourselves, which sometimes happens because of fear, he asks for a Christian Science practitioner. He knows, too, when he is healed, and tells us so. When he was about a year and a half old, a dog pushed him off a high veranda, causing a very badly injured leg; but in three weeks he was entirely healed, through the power of Truth, in spite of predictions of dire results by the non-Scientists in our home. Shortly after this the child was taken with a bowel trouble, the seriousness of which only those mothers not in Christian Science can appreciate. I am thankful to say that while there was apparently a very sick child, I had no fear. In a week the child was entirely healed and looked as rosy as ever.

A case of measles was also healed, on another occasion. On the advice of the practitioner and to conform to the law, we called a doctor, who made an examination and said there was no fever, that the bowels were in good condition, and in fact he did not consider the case serious enough to report to the city health department. The healing was accomplished in Christian Science in about ten hours, though the child had become apparently very sick, with high fever and eruptions on face and body.
