Some time ago I fell on a cement walk, striking violently on my right knee. At first there was not much pain, but later, in moving my knee, the pain was very severe, and this continued for over a week, when I felt it would be wise to ask for help. I had treatment for a week, and during this time I realized that my greatest trouble had been fear, fear of certain conditions which might follow such an accident; but through the faithful work of the practitioner I was freed entirely. I cannot put into words my gratitude for this experience; it has shown me more than I ever realized before how "perfect love casteth out fear," and when the fear is removed, so is the discomfort. Christian Science has also aided me greatly in helping others.

Mrs. Sue M. Hamilton, South Bend, Ind.

A beginner in Christian Science often needs the advice not to be troubled when he fails to understand some statement in our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." The mist which seems to be enveloping that particular sentence will assuredly be swept aside for him as he gains further spiritual understanding. When I first read our Leader's statement, "There are no vacuums" (Science and Health, p. 346), it meant nothing to me; but now, as I review the way by which our loving Father-Mother God led me to the glorious facts of Christian Science, I can humbly and gratefully say that I clearly realize the truth of our dear Leader's words, "This seeming vacuum is already filled with divine Love" (p. 266).
