I was healed through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and I herewith bear testimony to the power of God to overcome every ill that flesh is heir to. I have been healed of what was called hereditary heart trouble, also a throat affection from childhood, rheumatism, etc., besides depression, discouragement, fear, hatred, prejudice, selfishness. By nature of a rather retiring disposition, I little thought that at the root of this cherished attitude was a host of evils which were masters of my moods, but Christian Science is the light that penetrates into every crevice, scattering the hosts of evil and giving us in exchange the noonday of Truth. St. Paul advised us to "work out" our salvation, and through obedience to this injunction I owe all I have today of health and harmony. I love the daily study of the Lesson-Sermon, and the Bible has been revealed as a constant necessity. Its many lessons furnish a feast of good things, and all tend to spiritual advancement.

Lifted out of the dungeon of false material sense into the sunshine of Truth, I breathe today the free air of a liberated child of God. Our Leader's ever-faithfulness in making known the presence of Love, is seen in the well-appointed Lesson-Sermons; and in her Message to The Mother Church, June, 1898 (p. 12) she says: "The altitude of Christianity openeth, high above the so-called laws of matter, a door that no man can shut." I am so grateful for this beautiful thought and all it reveals. That door which no man can shut is the foundation upon which today Christian Science is absolutely established, its infinite Principle being God. How grateful is the heart that throbs in unison with this great verity,—to dwell in Truth, Life, and Love, knowing that always about us are the "everlasting arms." It is indeed a noble calling to serve God alone, and happy are the obedient followers of Christ, Truth. He who lightens the burdens of the struggling brotherhood of man, with the most tender compassion and patience, typifies the great Exemplar, for the heart must be generous enough to cover the need.

The heart that rejoices to help a brother gives the dew of heaven. When the sun comes out, it strengthens humanity and leaves its glory everywhere. This gift is ours today through the patient, unselfed love of our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and we rejoice in the infinite blessings of Truth in exchange for the bondage of matter.
