It is over five years since I began the study of Christian Science, and it was through the reading of the Journal and Sentinel that I found the truth which makes us free. My husband is a commercial traveler, and I go with him, so that we may be together over Sundays. While in St. Joseph, Mo., in a hotel, among entire strangers, I became ill with a nervous trouble, and as I had had this same ailment twice before, I began to fear that something dreadful would happen to me. I was in such a condition that I could not sleep, so I tried to have something to read. As I had read all the books which I had with me, and night was coming on, I went to the office and asked the clerk for something to read. He said he did not know of anything except some literature which had been brought in by some church people and placed in a rack over one of the writing-desks. He said I could take them if I liked. I there found a Christian Science Sentinel and Journal, and these I took to my room and began reading. The very first thing I read was a poem entitled, "Fear Not," and I received such comfort from reading it that I read it over several times. I went on reading till about ten o'clock, when I became sleepy. I slept soundly all night, and from that time on to the present, I have not been disturbed by sleeplessness.

I am indeed grateful to Mrs. Eddy for these missionaries that are being sent to those in need. Since then I have found Christian Science sufficient for my every need. I am glad to know that God, who is perfect Love, casteth out "all fear." I am also grateful to the many kind friends who have helped me to understand this healing truth.

Mrs. H. H. Horner, Kansas City, Mo.
