It is with thankfulness in my heart to God and love for my fellow men that I humbly give this testimony to what Christian Science has done for me. It has brought me light and peace where for years before all was darkness and chaos. I was sick in body and mind, having had three severe spells, the last one leaving me a wreck mentally as well as physically. It was then that I decided to take up Christian Science in earnest. My first desire was to be free from a nervous trouble which was most distressing. I had several severe ailments, one of which, a bowel disorder, disappeared after the first treatment. An acute kidney trouble disappeared after a few months' earnest study of the Bible and Science and Health, with treatment occasionally from faithful practitioners. The nervousness commenced to disappear when I was willing to recognize and destroy some of the errors which had bound me all my life, namely, sensitiveness, selfishness, temper, also talking and listening to gossip and scandal. These are a few of the evils which I have learned to detect and in some measure have succeeded in destroying through my study and application of Christian Science. Other diseases than those I have mentioned have also been overcome, and for all this I am sincerely thankful to God; also to our Leader, who was so spiritual that she could discern this truth and give it to mankind.

The physical healing is, however, nothing in comparison to the spiritual quickening which is mine when I apply myself earnestly and conscientiously to the study of the Bible and Science and Health. It is destroying fear and worry and uncertainty and replacing them with the real,—with love, understanding, faith, and hope. My daily prayer is that this truth may come to every sick and sinful mortal, that they may awaken out of their delusion and see themselves and the whole creation as God's perfect, indestructible, spiritual manifestation.

I am grateful to those who have so lovingly helped me over the rough places when the way at times seemed dark. I am thankful to God for every good thing. I know He sends us only good and everything good comes from Him. I hope this testimony may be the means of turning some sick and sorrowing ones to the truth, that they may be healed and regenerated.—Mrs. E. E. Forstall, Phoenix, Ariz.
