Vancouver, British Columbia.—Less than three months ago, First and Second Churches of Christ, Scientist, Vancouver, British Columbia, unanimously passed resolutions authorizing their respective boards of directors to enter into negotiations for the purpose of arriving at a basis upon which the said churches might unite. The boards met as a joint committee, and after several harmonious meetings, at which the question of the union of the two churches was carefully considered with regard to the provincial laws governing corporate bodies of this kind, and with regard to their standing as branches of The Mother Church, a detailed report outlining the proposed basis of unity was submitted to the respective organizations and was unanimously adopted Oct. 11.
