DEAR child, what is the prayer that thou hast given
This morning for thy home which is in heaven?
Father, I only asked of Thee the way
To better do each little task today.
Dear child, in proving well these few things, thou
Shalt know the joy of ruling many now.

Dear child, what is the prayer that thou hast given
This morning for thy church which is in heaven?
Father, I only opened wide love's door
That they might enter who were barred before.
Dear child, the Christ is calling once again:
Come, I will make thee fishers, now, of men.
