Through the clear perception of the truth, as it is taught in Christian Science, I was healed, in two weeks' treatment by a dear friend, of a distressing bowel trouble. I had been a sufferer from this trouble for over fifteen years, and had taken many kinds of medicine, which gave only temporary relief and often left me in worse physical condition than before. Something over two years ago I became interested enough in Christian Science to attend the church services. I was much impressed with the testimonies given at the Wednesday evening meetings, and finally resolved to test Christian Science in my own case. My healing was perfect, and from that day to this I have never taken one drop of medicine of any kind and have been perfectly free from physical discord.

While I am indeed grateful for this physical healing, yet it is nothing compared with the spiritual uplifting, the sense of peace and plenty, the harmony and love which have come to me and mine since Christian Science entered our home. It has taken away the desire for liquor, which was assuming large proportions although I am a young man; has eliminated entirely the thoughts of revenge, hatred, and malice, which seemed to be very pronounced in my case, and instead this truth has given me a sweet sense of love and good will towards my fellow-men. Before coming into Christian Science it was always one of the hardest problems in our family to make both ends meet financially, but only a short time after my healing my work was changed, resulting in the doubling of my salary. Now we have everything that we need, and when we can use more I know more will be given us, because I now know the true source of supply. My business is that of selling goods on the road, and the line I carry is considered one of the most difficult to handle successfully, yet my success has been a matter of comment many times by my employer and others.

All the good that has come to me in the past two years I owe to Christian Science, and I am indeed grateful to God, and also to Mrs. Eddy, who revealed to us this newold truth.—Harry F. Hoover, Indianapolis, Ind.
