About six years ago I suffered greatly from kidney trouble. I could not rest at night, and had sharp pains through the day. I was under medical treatment for about five years, but nothing seemed to do me any good. One year ago I was struck by a street car, and was taken to the receiving hospital, where the wound was dressed. My wife, being a Christian Scientist, persuaded me to call in a practitioner; and in four days I was back to work, completely healed. The scar could hardly be seen, and what is more wonderful, my kidney trouble has vanished.
Since then I have taken a great interest in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," also in the Sentinel and the Journal. I have also had the pleasure of seeing three of my friends follow the same way that I have done, and they, too, have been healed. I have been able to work every day, my wages have been raised, and I do not think I can say too much about what Christian Science has done for me. I am indeed grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.—Richard H. Hicks, Los Angeles, Cal.
