Like a great many others I sought Christian Science as...
Like a great many others I sought Christian Science as a last resort for relief from physical suffering. For over a year I had scarcely known what it was to be free from pain, which at times was so severe that it seemed almost unbearable. During this time I had the best of physicians and every care and remedy which materia medica could suggest, but all without avail. The close of the year found me more miserable than ever and utterly discouraged, for the physicians said that while the case was not dangerous I need not expect ever to be comfortable again. I knew nothing about Christian Science except that there was a method of healing called by that name. However, I resolved to try it, and went to a practitioner. I shall never forget the peace and happiness which came to me at that first visit, for I knew then I should be healed, and I was. I received immediate relief; in about ten days the main complications had entirely disappeared, and with them several other troubles which had annoyed me all my life.
Words cannot express my gratitude for this healing, which occurred four years ago. The time since then has been one continual unfoldment of the beauties and wonders of Divine Science, revealed through the study of our devoted Leader's works.—Zella B. Sand, Toledo, O.
