FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST, SCIENTIST, held its annual meeting last night in the reading room, 14 North State Street. The reports of the officers for the past year showed substantial growth. The treasurer reported all bills paid and a balance in the treasury. Grateful thanks were voiced to the revered Leader, the Reverend Mary Baker Eddy, for her munificent gift of $120,000 for the beautiful new church edifice now being erected. Interesting letters were read from kind friends in all parts of the country who have made generous contributions toward the new church. A cordial vote of thanks was passed to the many generous donors, who, out of their gratitude for benefits received, have thus liberally remembered the church in Mrs. Eddy's home city.

The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Joseph A. Moore; treasurer, George H. Moore; clerk, Miss Mabel C. Gage; auditing committee, Horace G. Boutwell, James R. Hosking, Mrs. Edward A. Grover; trustees, Irving C. Tomlinson, Miss Mary E. Tomlinson, George H. Moore, Mrs. George H. Moore, Fred A. Piper, Mrs. Fred A. Piper, Joseph A. Moore, Miss M. Elizabeth Thompson, William A. Clark, J. Wesley Plummer.
