I always felt that I would like to express my gratitude...
I always felt that I would like to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me, and now I have also Der Christian Science Herold to be grateful for. I am German, and I know it will be a great help among my people. I lent the Herold to one of my friends who was very much opposed to Christian Science, and her thoughts has changed by reading it. Now she expresses love for the Science.
About seven years ago I came to Christian Science for healing. I had been suffering for over nine years, and during the last part of that time I was never a day without pain. I had tried different doctors, but found no relief. Before I went for healing I resolved to try Christian Science for a year. My healing was slow, and I am grateful now that it was so, for by it the Bible was made a new book to me.
The Bible and Science and Health are my daily companions. Sometimes I felt discouraged, but the thought always came to me, "Keep on; if it helps others, it will surely help you." Month after month passed by and I felt no change, when, to my great joy, a still, small voice said to me one day, "God is the only power." From that time I grew stronger, and now I am perfectly free. I have had many demonstrations of the power of Truth in healing sickness in my family, and my children have made many demonstrations for themselves, but I am most grateful for the spiritual understanding which I received through my healing. I am unable to find words to express my love and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy.—L. W., Berlin, Ont.
