Hall Caine is reported to have said recently of the Bible, "There is no book in the world like it. The finest novels ever written fall far short in interest of any one of the stories it tells. Whatever strong situations I have in my books are not of my creation, but are taken from the Bible." The distinguished Mr. Dana, the man who made the New York Sun, affirmed in his lecture on journalism that of all the books absolutely necessary to the education needed in the journalistic profession, the one book the knowledge of which was most useful, effective, and indispensable, is the Bible.
