About seven years ago I found myself with a very troublesome growth on my breast, and which was steadily getting larger. Becoming much frightened over it, I was advised to consult a cancer specialist, which I did, and he assured me that it was nothing more or less than a deepseated cancer, and advised me to leave my home immediately and take treatment in his sanatorium, which I did. I spent weeks in the place not deriving any benefit from it whatever, and grew very much discouraged.
About this time we came to Scranton, and being asked to attend the Christian Science Church, did so. I also began to study the lessons, and began reading Science and Health. I became much interested, so much so that a little later on, I found that I was entirely freed from the cancer. I cannot express the fulness of my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for all she has done, and all she has sacrificed for humanity.
Another demonstration which I wish to speak of, and which to me was beautiful, was at the birth of our little boy, now six months old. Treatment was asked for, and received with great benefit. The little one came about four o'clock in the afternoon, and the same evening I was on my feet. I arose the next morning and walked about the house, remaining up about two hours, feeling strong and well, and within one week was going in and out of doors at will.
