Eight years ago when I left my native town of Berlin, Ont., Christian Science there was like a young plant just putting forth its first tender leaves.
Its sturdy growth since then, with flower and fruitage, is seen in their beautiful church building, seating between four and five hundred, which was opened in August, 1900.
Its rugged masonry of field-stone speaks of the foundation on the Rock, Christ. Its walls might well be called Salvation and its gates Praise, for they tell of the healing of the sick and sorrowful, of many cases of moral healing, and such transformation of character as causes frequent comment by the townspeople.
