Wednesday Evening Meeting at Sioux City, Ia
In the first testimony given, a mother told of the inestimable value of Christian Science in caring for her children, especially in destroying her fear of the power of food to make them sick. She had seen many claims of sickness destroyed for them with the denial of error and the affirmation of Truth.
Another lady said that in reading of the man who was "sick of the palsy" she was reminded of an experience when she had just been healed in Christian Science. Her heart was so full of gratitude and joy that she went to see a friend who had been bedridden for years. She told her that she, too, could be healed, and urged her to see a healer as soon as possible. But after she had gone, the woman rose, dressed herself, straightened her room, threw away her medicines, and, a few hours later, was found reading the copy of Science and Health which the speaker had left, and she was indeed "healed in that self-same hour."
A lady recalled her experience of several years ago when she was dependent on a little box of drugs that she kept always with her;s but now she had replaced these gods with the one God. Truth, and every day increased her gratitude for the revelation of Christian Science, which shows God to be the only source of strength.
