I was not brought to Christian Science for any special physical healing, but came, as an humble investigator. searching for the Truth,—reaching out and feeling after God.

As to my church, I thought I was fairly well satisfied since I could not see that any of the others gave any more comfort than did mine; however, down in my heart there was that lack of something which satisfies.

That peace of mind I did not feel, but the opposite,—constant fear and dread of some sudden and unexpected (or expected) calamity. As I read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and studied, and read again, the Truth, as shown us by Mrs. Eddy, began to dawn on me. I continued to read, both my wife and I, and we were soon able to demonstrate this Science for ourselves, in our family and in our every-day life, which to us is satisfying, beyond what our church had ever given.
