Truth Explains Itself
WE are often met with the statement that if Christian Science is the Truth we should be able so to explain it as to be understood by those who maintain that they cannot see it as we do. Such friends overlook the one cardinal fact primal to an understanding or unfolding of any thought presented, and that is that the real explanation is not with the one who gives the thought, but is absolutely with the one who receives it. A seed is planted, but nothing that the planter can do can possibly cause that seed to grow; that process lies within the seed.
If, instead of trying to convince our friends, we would recognize this principle of action and leave it for them to ask and receive when they are willing to do so, we would share a blessing with them.
