Loving Father
Loving
Father, Truth triumphant, Counselor and King,
Here we gather to adore Thee, here our hearts we bring.
Bud and blossom bring Thee incense, birds Thy praises
swell;
In Thy courts harmonious we would always dwell.
When the way is dreary and the sun has gone,
When the shadows lengthen, and the night comes on;
Oh! Be near us, Father, stilling every fear,
Let Thy Light illumine all our pathway here.
In Thy brooding presence we commune with Thee;
In Thy secret covert Thou hast set us free.
We will do Thy service gladly while 'tis called to-day,
Loving all and loving ever, in the Christ's own way.
