Thankful for the Rule of Christian Science

Often the thoughts has come to me to send a word of gratitude to the Journal or Sentinel, and then has come the thought, What shall I write about? for Christian Science has done so much for me that I do not know where to begin or end in the telling. Of all the blessings it has brought to me, I think I am most thankful for the fact that it has given me a definite rule by which to live.

I have had sufficient proof of the practicality of this rule to know that by faithful application thereof, every problem in life can be solved. I am sure that all may know this by earnest, prayerful study of the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker G. Eddy.

All my life I have wanted to do right, to overcome faults, to destroy selfishness, and Christian Science shows me how these things can be accomplished. Without this help I could not live one day of my busy life successfully. Christian Science teaches me how to be patient when impatient thoughts come, and how to love when thoughts of resentment come. When I am not loving and patient, I know that the fault lies, not in the rule, but in my lack of application of it.
