Reading Rooms Opened

Reading Room Re-opened.

Many residents remember well the excellent Christian Science reading room recently opened in the Greisheim Building, which was lately destroyed in Bloomington's great fire on the 19th inst. In the midst of the general scramble for new locations, when all available space was being snapped up, the Christian Scientists secured a location for their reading room on the second floor of the Jacoby Building, 515 North Main Street, where they are now comfortably located. At the regular meeting of the Christian Scientists on Wednesday evening the need of new furnishings, stock of literature, etc., for their new location was stated, and the members given an opportunity to contribute. In a few minutes a sufficient amount was raised, and on Friday, three days after the fire, the room was again open to the public, whose appreciation of this means of informing themselves on the subject of Christian Science was shown in the large numbers who visited this room while located in the Greisheim Building. The room is open each day, except Sunday, from 10 A.M. to 4 p.m. All Christian Science literature will be found in this room for public use, and a welcome is extended to all.
